in our daily lives, there are countless moments where we make decision, process our thoughts and many more depending on someone else's opinion or their references.
i do believe that it is crucial. you cannot obtain every single piece of evidence this world can offer. by trusting in a third-party information, you "obtain" more information. I get it.
the idea i am struggling i guess is more of an internal thing: when does that become YOUR information. YOUR knowledge.
And i think it all simply ties into a bigger picture of this theme called TRUST.
if i believe in a piece of information my brother provides, whether that is a statistical information regarding NBA or from the scripture, i will take the information, formulate and process it internally, and then make it mine.
the tricky part, however, is that we don't always do that. sometimes we take one thing, let it out the other way. maybe the source was not reliable. maybe you were just being stubborn. maybe you could just careless of what the other person is trying to convey.
In an honest manner, what I am trying to convey in this blog post is that believing in someone takes a great deal of faith. yes, faith. Because at the end of the day, science is not a sure-fire. it is always going to be a theory because all you can do is hypothesize. we can never be sure of what IS to come. only when that moment COMES can we make an observation.
i guess that puts a little spin on how we live our lives.
what a struggle. i dont mean to offend ANYBODY but who cares if John Piper said something. Let alone, who cares if anyone says anything to you if you don't trust and have faith
Sir, let your experience become mine. Give me Captain-America-like powers to believe in you.
I ask humbly.
